Gourmet Meatballs with Mushroom Sauce INGREDIENTS: 1 lb ground beef or mixed meats 1/2 cup breadcrumbs 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 large egg 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Salt and pepper, to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil 8 oz mushrooms, sliced 1 cup beef broth 1 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Fresh parsley, for garnish INSTRUCTIONS: In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Shape into meatballs. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides, then remove and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until golden brown. Add beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer 15-20 minutes until fully cooked. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
