Homemade Sloppy Joes Recipe by Chef John | Updated on May 18, 2022 Tested by Allrecipes Test Kitchen Prep Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 55 mins Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Ingredients 1 ½ pounds extra-lean ground beef ½ onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups water, divided ¾ cup ketchup 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1 ½ teaspoons salt, or to taste ½ teaspoon ground black pepper 1 dash Worcestershire sauce 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste Directions Place ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat; cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbled, about 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper and garlic; cook and stir until softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Add 1 cup water and stir, scraping the pan to dissolve any brown flavor bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Add remaining 1 cup water and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simme

Deviled Eggs Recipe (TNT)

Deviled Eggs Recipe Prep Time: 10 minutes mins Cook Time: 15 minutes mins Total Time: 25 minutes mins Servings: 12 eggs Ingredients 6 large eggs 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon yellow mustard 1 teaspoon white vinegar salt and pepper to taste paprika for garnish Instructions Hard boil eggs. (see above in post for full instructions) Cut each egg in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and put them in a bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spoon the filling into the egg white shells. Sprinkle with paprika. Chill until serving.

Mississippi Pot Roast (TNT)

Mississippi Pot Roast Our Mississippi Pot Roast cooks all day in the slow cooker, making for a tender, flavorful roast that is perfect over mashed potatoes. This is such an easy recipe, but we think it's the best pot roast out there! Prep 10 minutes minutes Cook 8 hours hours Total 8 hours hours 10 minutes minutes Serves 8 Ingredients 3 - 4 pounds chuck roast 1 tablespoon oil 1 packet ranch seasoning mix 1 packet au jus seasoning ¼ cup butter 6 pepperoncini peppers plus ½ cup juice from jar Instructions Heat the oil in a large, heavy bottomed skillet, such as cast iron and then add the roast and sear on all sides.    Place the roast in a 6 quart crockpot and sprinkle on the ranch and au jus seasoning.    Slice the butter into 4 pieces and arrange over the pot roast. Top with the peppers and pour the juice from the jar into the bottom of the crockpot.    Cover and cook on high fo

Italian Dressing Seasoning Mix

Italian Dressing Seasoning Mix Prep Time 5 minutes  Total Time 5 minutes   Ingredients   2 Tablespoons dried oregano  1 Tablespoon garlic powder  1 Tablespoon onion powder  1 Tablespoons dried parsley  1 Tablespoon sugar  1 Tablespoon kosher salt  1 teaspoon black pepper  1 teaspoon dried basil  1/2 teaspoon celery seed  1/4 teaspoon dried thyme  1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes   Instructions     Measure all of the ingredients into a small bowl or mason jar. Stir or cover and shake until well combined. Store in an airtight container (2 Tablespoons of spice blend = 1 store bought packet such as Good Seasons Italian dressing seasoning).    Recipe makes enough to equal 4 store bought packets).     Notes:  Mix 2 Tablespoons of spice blend, with 2/3 cup oil, 1/4 cup vinegar (apple cider or red wine), and 2 Tablespoons water.  Gail’s Notes:   I’ve not tried making this seasoning mix yet, but definitely plan to try it soon!
