Tender Chicken Pillows with Creamy Parmesan Sauce

Soft, golden crescent “pillows” stuffed with creamy chicken and baked until flaky—finished with a rich Parmesan sauce. Comfort food at its best!
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Filling:
2 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter (melted)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt & black pepper to taste
For the Pillows:
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup crushed crackers (like Ritz) or breadcrumbs
3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation:
Step 1: Preheat oven
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
Step 2: Make filling
In
a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan,
melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until
smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Assemble pillows
Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles
Place a scoop of chicken mixture in the center
Fold dough around filling and seal into a “pillow” shape
Step 4: Add topping
Dip or brush each pillow with melted butter, then roll in crushed crackers or breadcrumbs.
Step 5: Bake
Place in baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
Step 6: Make sauce
In a saucepan:
Melt butter, whisk in flour (cook 1 minute)
Slowly add milk and cream, whisk until smooth
Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Simmer until thick and creamy
Step 7: Serve
Drizzle warm Parmesan sauce over the chicken pillows or serve on the side.
