Smoky Maple Bacon Swiss Crusted Meatloaf

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup maple syrup
6 slices bacon
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and maple syrup. Mix everything together until well combined. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish. 

Wrap the bacon slices around the meatloaf, securing them with toothpicks if needed. Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. 

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 

Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
