Heavenly Garlic Butter Shrimp with Linguine

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

8 oz linguine pasta
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup dry white wine
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat.

Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Deglaze the pan with white wine and add the remaining butter. Let simmer until the sauce has reduced by half.

Return the shrimp to the skillet, add the cooked linguine, lemon juice, parsley, and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the garlic butter sauce.

Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.

Gail's Notes: I am looking forward to trying this soon!
