Simple Marinated Chicken Wings

Simple Marinated Chicken Wings

This chicken wing marinade is easy to make, savory-sweet, and delicious. The chicken tastes even better if you double the sauce and marinate for 24 hours. This is my husband's favorite recipe for wings.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 1 hr
Additional Time: 2 hrs
Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins

Ingredients

5 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
½ teaspoon garlic powder
24 chicken wings

Directions

Gather all ingredients.

Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, mustard, and garlic powder together in a bowl until combined.

Arrange chicken wings in a 9x13-inch baking dish; pour marinade over chicken and cover with plastic,  marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Remove plastic wrap from the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven, basting occasionally, until chicken wings are no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Gail's Notes: I'm looking forward to trying this sauce with chicken wings soon!
