This Classic Bacon Pea Salad is easy to make and is the perfect size to serve up to a crowd. It will quickly become your new favorite side dish.
Ingredients
- 32 Ounces Frozen Peas, warmed
- 8 Ounces Cheddar, cubed
- 3 Ounces Real Bacon Bits
- 1 Red Onion, slivered
- ⅓ cup Mayonnaise
- ⅓ Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Dill
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
- Begin by making your crispy bacon. I put mine on a cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
- Prepare your vegetables by cooking the peas, cutting the onion into slivers and cutting the cheese into cubes.
- Once you’ve prepped the peas, onions, and cheese, combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and fold until fully combined.
- Eat immediately or place in the fridge, covered, until you’re ready to serve it.
Gail's Notes: I'm so glad I found this recipe, I used to make this way back in the day and now I'm tempted to make it again!
